Starting on Thursday June 22nd at 12pm (NOON) EST we will begin our latest competition. This time there will be some changes so read on:

As per usual, to win you need to have completed the most writs during the competition time frame with your main, and any of your alts that do writs will count towards the total points of your main. BUT - this time we are also going to allow Heritage Quests to count as follows:
Depending on the tier of HQ then we will count it as a x2 writ. For instance, if it is a T7 HQ such as Tinkerers Bag then it would be 7x2 for 14 pts. If it's T3 then 3x2 for 6 pts.

New Official Website for the Knights!

Thanks to the initiative of Shyntlara and the hard work of several others, we now have a new official website located at knightsoftheshattering.com. This website is still very new and is in the process of being rearranged and having pages added but it looks great so far. Potentially the biggest plus is that the forums will now be accessible and easier to view by all, so no more frustrating attempts to log in on the SOE pages. Come view the new website and offer input on how we can make this a great site!

Updated Raid Information

Just to keep everyone informed and up to date, here is a quick summary of how we have been doing on our raids. First of all, a reminder that a successful raid is not always just merely defeating the mobs we are after, but also learning new and better strategies even if we do not defeat the mob. Having said that though, we have slowly and steadily been increasing the difficulty of our targets. We have defeated LockJaw in his Sinking Sands lair and we have prowled the caverns and courts of Al'Afaz in which all but three named mobs have fallen to our might. Also, we are beginning our collection of shards from the three Drakonic encounters so that we can start another group in the resurrection of Vox for prismatics. So, gratz on hard work, perseverance, uber loot, and the ability to have fun no matter what!

As we make our final push to being a level 30 guild, Zeroue has taken the initiative to help sponsor a guild wide writ competition that began this past Sunday and will end this coming Satuday. This is for writs only so that all guildies of all levels can have an equal opportunity of winning. Other then bragging rights, first place will receive 1 plat, second place 60 gold and third place 40 gold. Thanks Zero for keeping up with this fun competition and good luck as we look to ding 30 as a guild.

Guild now open to all levels and alts

After being approached by guildmates, the officers were asked to consider opening KOS to all alts and Squires members. This was asked so that those with alts could chat in guild chat, and so that any guild exp would go to benefit KOS. The officers were in unanimous agreement that it was time for us to move forward with this, rather then keep separate guilds. This inflates our numbers somewhat, but everyone has really enjoyed the change so far. Please keep the great suggestions coming, and I will implement the policies formulated by your officers.

Raiding Update

It's taking a bit of time to shake off the rust with many of us relaxing over the holidays, but the raiding has resumed with as much fun as ever. Our last raid was another trip to Spirits of the Lost in which we came away with yet more masters and fabled weapons and gear. In addition to the loot, we just a had a fun time in general, which is what the game is all about! Our next targets will be the continuation of the prismatic quests (Deception) with the Draconic mobs Monday, January 23rd. Our first stop will be Firemyst Gully in Antonica, then we will proceed from there. Saturday January 28th at 3pm eastern we will raid the Shimmering Citadel raid zone. On Monday January 30th at 9pm est we will raid Rognog the Angler and Lockjaw. Hope to see you guys there!

Raiding to resume Jan. 10th

We will resume our raiding Jan. 9th at 9pm eastern with our targets being Drayek, Rognog and Zalak. Then the following week Jan. 16th we will raid Spirits of the Lost which is the raid equivalent zone of Cazic Thule. I hope everyone has been enjoying their holidays with family and friends. Prismatic Raids and the Holidays

I just wanted to officially inform everyone that we will NOT be doing any raids pertinent to the prismatic quests over the holidays. It will be the first of the year before there will be another scheduled raid for this. So enjoy the holidays with your family (yes, a shocking concept to most of us)! Marak will work to schedule and offer some raids throughout the holidays though, for those who will still be able to attend.

Dec. 6th Raid on Spirits of the Lost

This was our first time in the raid zone Spirits of the Lost which is the raid equivalent zone of Cazic Thule. We were able to progress extremely well, especially for our first time which is usually just a learning experience. Shades of Destiny also provided support for this raid with several members and we had a full raid of 24 people. By the end of the night, the loot that was won by our guild was as follows: Isik and Arani both won very nice fabled weapons; Warmongul, Lokriss, and Clarah all won master spells; and numerous rares were awarded. From a loot perspective it was a great raid. From a fun time, it was even better! Great Job Everyone!
