So hows is everyone who still looks at this? I forget my login info for SoD so send my hello to them for me please. Its been about 3 months now that i played last so tell me how the new stuff is from grouped to raiding, oh and also how Aze has been changed, well other than being extra fat from lack of exercise. you all must be lvl 90 by now i am guessing. will check back to see if any got this but for now here is a big HUG for all.

Really good to hear from you Aze!

New Expac seems to be a reasonable balance of difficulty / class balance / interesting mechanics changes (crit / potency / cures / resists / new adornment system / special raid shards... etc.) I am still interested in logging in. Raids are challenging, but not such a slim chance of success that they are frustrating. Grouping is the same as the raids; lower tier zones are kinda silly easy, but some of the later ones are really keep me on my toes.

I moved Rosepetal to Defenders of Norrath to give them a try (European raid times), and have been very pleased. They have a very low-key (but effective) raiding style, and have been very accepting and I integrated easily. I later moved Torq over because of healer shortages (though not Inquisitor shortages; we often raid with 3 Inqs  ),but Rosepetal remains my main there. They are both 90.

I left Upek in KotS, but haven't played him much. I recently moved Mamekea to SoD so that I could keep in touch, but haven't had a lot of time to hang out with them.

I hope you and yours are well, and it was really good that you dropped a note!

Hi guys,

Pretty much all I've done this xpac is just raiding. I hardly run any instance since I've just been busy or tired.
I think raiding progression is better this xpac. Most of the beginning names are just tank and spank. There's not a lot of scripting until you get deeper in this zone.

I see Ukep running around on his Necro now and then. The only one I see that actively login from KoTS is Joal.
I still have Semiot and Puchnee in KoTS but I just don't play EQ2 as much as I use to.

I hope everyone is doing well.

Take Care,
Oni

Heya all,
I sure do miss everyone as well, though I've been keeping pretty busy irl these days too. I joined a new Muay Thai gym which is fairly intense and I've been taking a German class at the German-Canadian club too.

I still miss playing, but I'm not sure EQ2 has the same draw for me as used to have. I have been toying with the idea of trying FFXIV when the beta opens up. If anyone else is thinking about trying Final Fantasy, shoot me an email (mikaelan@knightsoftheshattering.com)or a PM and we can make some plans. Alpha testing is almost finished, and it is looking pretty good. I think there is a good opportunity to run an online casino there Kine.

Sandora mentioned to me last week that he might start playing EQ2 a bit again, so keep your eyes open for him if you are in-game. I don't think he keeps tabs on our forums very often anymore, but I went down in May to hang out with him for the long weekend. We drove up to St. Augustine to see his sister and brother-in-law and drink lots of whiskey. He's doing well.

Also, my brother named his new dog Mika... coincidence? I think not!

Alrighty, that's about it for me. Take care all!

Mika (Adam)

Good to hear from some of ya's. I wasn't sure if any of ya still popped in or not to game. I don't play Frayed anymore. I had to close his account. I re opened my fighter account so if anyone does still do things in game i'm just starting to level. You guys can find me on Gandharvas, Noan, Noann, or ( since i missed him just a tiny iota ) Frayedd (2.0).

I joined some friends guild Ruthless Endeavor. Bunch of people i knew before joining ya'll in KotS.

Had to move to a part time job so I can go back to school to change career paths. Don't play often and can't really raid anymore. But wouldn't mind hearing from some of ya's.

Mika, let me know how to apply for beta. I'd be up for hanging out there.

Hi All,

Good to hear from you guys. EQ2 hasn't had the same draw for me as well. But I still do login occasionally and play. Joal is still in kots, I moved my troub eloria to SoD to play with them some times. Other than that I've been heavily involved in another development project on top of work so my EQ2 time is only a couple times a week. But, with all the money and items the guild have, I'll be able to keep it running for quite some time. If any of you want to pop in and say hello, kots will be there at least for the next 6 months or so :)

Personally, I find the new xpac pretty good. Probably because it works so well with boxing my troub. You can pretty much get to level 85 quickly doing the quest lines. After that, it takes a little more grinding effort. I haven't done a lot of instances, but what I have done with sod seem pretty decent. I haven't raided any of this content so I can't comment on that. Hope everyone enjoys there summer time!

Sincerely,
Joal

Hey everyone! :D

I, likewise, miss all the people in the game. The game was really cool and fun for me (hopefully one day will be again too), but you all made it such a memorable part of my life. I had a period of 4+ years where health issues were a major deal, and subsequently, I play a ton of EQ2. All of the friendships in-game became a big part of my social life. My health is great now and I've been back full time as a financial advisor for 2+ years, which I really love doing. My wife and I bought a house (I'll post pics sometime), and with 4 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths, we're ready to try to start filling it up with a family.

All in all, life is great in Raleigh, NC. If ever up this way, send me an email to either of these: Jonathan4jc@hotmail.com or Jherron@carlsonfinancialservices.com and we'll go to lunch or something.

I miss you all and maybe this Fall, I'll open my account again and log in to chat.

Jonathan
aka "Sineran"

The nostalgia has finally caught up with me, so I've decided to purchase Sentinels of Fate and join up again. Mostly just to see how things are. Don't have the time to raid, but I definitely hope to see some of you in game.

You will be at a wall when you hit 90... Good fun till then if you don't want to raid.

The new expansion fun starts in raids. The heroic instances are good silly fun until you see that raid-ready toons are making a mockery of them (30k DPS by a single toon in group instances). That 30k is valuable and volatile in a t9 raid.

The trend is just exponentially projected this expansion... Pulling agro, unless the MT or OT = instant death.

The new mechanics are simple, and exquisite. Priests cure and heal on the side, Scouts debuff and DPS on the side, Mages DPS and die quietly on the side, Fighters... fight for agro constantly.

I am still having fun with this expansion. Casually, and part-time, to be sure.

See you in game.

-Upek

*waves* Been in a time or two, but hard for me to get back into it. Tried WoW...too dumbed down to hold me for long. Played a few free MMO's, mostly anime types with my sons. Ultimately I ended up in Vanguard - reactivating my station pass. Even that I don't play like I used to. The graveyard shift is still hard enough on me that sleep still isn't regular, so sitting in front of the comp for more than an hour makes me sleepy...and I wake back up during the walk to my bedroom LOL.

Glad to hear what's been going on with y'all...hope to see you around should I pop into game.

Heya Nawti and Kinesis! I hope y'all are doing well.

I thought about Kin just this weekend as I was tradeskilling, after all I have to fund my masters on Sineran. Lots of plat to be made, especially if one puts in some hours, so I of course thought about the tradeskill prowess of Kin. :)

On another note, I'm going to give the game a couple more weeks, but I have to admit that I'm disappointed in the instances/grouping so far. I expected to have a lot more success when I hit 90, but I've now had 4 straight nights of attempting to find an instance group, but there's been little activity on the entire server. Plus, I'm new to the instances and not knowing exactly what to expect, makes it's challenging to start a group. Plus, tanks are almost mythical status and virtually non-existant.

Anyway, fun, but probably will deguild Sineran to give some casual raids a chance. Will leave rest of toons if I do. Btw, only Upek's alt, Storm's alt, myself and Ginaa are ever on atm.

Take care and see ya in game, slackers!
